January 2024 League

Welcome to Sarkey's January League Registration.

24 players play at Highlander Park. The start time will be Saturdays at 12pm. Start day is January 20th. If we can start earlier we will all agree to adjust the time slot. Season is 8 weeks.

Each Player will play 6 games per day

1. Teams of two, randomly picked

2. Each Team plays 3 games. Rally score to 21 win by one

3. Each game different opponents (round robin)

4. New Teams chosen after 3 games

• Individual scores are totaled for 8 Saturdays.

• Top three scores at the end of 8 Saturdays receive trophies

• Lowest score is dropped

• If You miss more than 2 days, you resign from the season with no refund.
• If you don't show up and have not notified Roger 24 hours in advance, you resign from the season with no refund

• Cost will be $10 

Expected Level of play is 4.0+. All players will have a chance to review the entries before the season starts and vote to disqualify others because of too high or too low a perceived rating

Picking Teams

Once registered and paid each player will receive a “Player Card” At the beginning of the day all player cards are put in a box and the first 6 teams are randomly chosen. These six teams begin playing and the second group of 6 teams are chosen. Teams alternate playing then taking a break while the other 8 teams play. Each team plays 3 games and then the teams are reset.

On the second and each consecutive day of play, the top 12 players will take turns randomly selecting partners from the remaining 12 players. This way the top players are seeded with the lower seeded players.

In the event that you miss more than two days you will forfeit your place in the league and a substitute player will be allowed to fill your spot. You will not play any more games this season and you will not be refunded your entry fee. The substitute player will not be required to pay an entry fee and will receive the average score of all players at that time. You will also forfeit your registration if you do not give 24 hours notice of your intent not to show
